sno dogs

Chris thought we’d be putting snow in the tub… how’d she know?

DH took the dogs for a walk… he’d knocked the worst snowballs off of Gracie.

Only one thing to do…

It took a long time!  (I took over while dh went to check on the other dog)  I was nearly done with Gracie when I though to plug the drain, so at least her feet wouldn’t need to be sprayed. And because next was Zuzu, who didn’t look like she was in as bad shape, but she really had a lot of snow under her,

I was amused by the air bubbles around her paws in the water,

but look, they really are not that big!

I just finished watching The Kingdom, a Danish tv series, known there as Riget. It was totally hilarious and very creepy. Check out the opening scenes on youtube, here. Now I’ll have to watch Steven King’s version, Kingdom Hospital.

Oh, the walking snowball pictures took me back! Our family dog growing up (the only dog I’ve ever had, come to think of it) was a cockapoodle-plus that looked a lot like a much smaller, less curly version of Gracie and Zuzu (his mother, my relative’s dog who accidentally got pregnant, probably because they were too cheap to have her spayed–ooh, did I say that?–was a cockapoo. His wandering father was reputedly a Pomeranian-Scottish Terrier mix, but I have trouble even picturing that). Anyway, he was cocker spaniel sized, so any amount of snow was chest high on him (luckily, lightweight, so he wouldn’t get lost in the drifts). And I remember him looking just like that, but had forgotten till now. We didn’t have a sprayer then, though. I think it was into the bathtub with him to deal with the snow balls.

Wow - that is quite an image. I’m sure the dogs *loved* the bath…

Some snowball you’ve got there.I guess the dog had a lovely time. The dog we had just loved snow, but my cats hate it.
