Fetching (dogs not the mitts!)

So… I just set up a YouTube account, but am having some trouble setting up this blog for video viewing… until then, look here to watch 45 seconds of Zuzu and Gracie playing fetch.

Zuzu is the one who is most obsessed with the ball and most focused on it. Gracie just runs around like a wild thing, she’s also bouncier.

Moon in the morning!
sat 008
well, it looked more impressive in real life!

New England asters!
sat 001 the typical purple color

sat 006 prettier but not quite as common fuschia-ish color

sat 010 and white! which I don’t remember seeing before

I have a rule about commenting: if you use the word fuchsia in your post, I have to comment on it.

By mentioning asters, of which I too am fond, you let yourself in for one of my favorite poems, Wild Asters by Sara Teasdale:

In the spring I asked the daisies
    If his words were true,
    And the clever little daisies
    Always knew.

Now the fields are brown and barren,
    Bitter autumn blows,
And of all the stupid asters,
    Not one knows.

Hmm, I know my wordpress.com blog has specific coding for youtube videos; they won’t let you use the code provided on YouTube’s site to embed the object into your blog. You can look it up in the forums, but as I recall it was something like [youtube="url of the video"].

We have asters galore here too, but I haven’t seen the white. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled!
