Welcome to my new blog!  I’ve imported the old posts (without comments), so it is mostly all over here now!

First huge thanks to ihswebsolutions.com!  They are fantastic! This blogger had great things to say about them at the end of May.   For $15 for the year, they registered my domain name and host the blog on their server!  Now, I know it’s not free, but it is about the same price I paid for the non advertisement livejournal account…so I’m thrilled.  The tech support has been great too!

So a contest is in order, don’t you think?  I was going to do a contest a day, but that seems like too much work, so it’s all here…

mountain colors bearfoot in the elderberry colorway

Renaissance yarns Connecticut Cotton, 310 yards per skein

Cottage Craft’s one ply yarn

And for the spinners!
I think it’s 4 ounces. I know it is wool. I know it is a nice browinish color. I remember the sheep type began with an ‘R’

I know this is 4 ounces, it’s batting, and from Wonderland Dyeworks, obtained at a fiber frolic a few years back

So… leave me a comment! Let me know if you are not interested in the roving or batts. I’ll draw random numbers. Contest will remain open until August 5th, 5 pm.

Woot — I am first to comment on your new blog! Welcome to your very own domain. Long may it reign. (Yeah, I’m a poet.)

Lovely yarns, pleasepleaseplease throw my name into the drawing. But the roving and bats can go to someone else. Yeah, I’m a generous poet.

Congrats on your new “home”, looks like quite the pad! ;) And your goodies look scrumptious too (and I’d hazard a guess that the “r” roving might be romney, maybe?)… everything looks yummy indeed! Happy settling in…

(Just to mention, I’m on an old version of IE at the office, wouldn’t be my choice at home, but your pictures came out quite, quite large here… Dunno if it’s my browser, but thought you might want to know…)

Awesome. I’m so glad you got off of Livejournal! :)

What blogging software does IHS use? The $15 a year is majorly cheap; sounds like such a great deal.

I’m not a spinner, but having a batt lying around might be fun. (That green is pretty.) You know me though, I’m almost all socks all the time, and I’ve never tried Mountain Colors Bearfoot.

Hmm – couple of things, upon closer perusal – I miss your ” blogs I visit” list (helps me get to SueKnits!). Is that an option and will it reappear?

I love the colors and the photos in general.

I love the fact that you have 5 posts that pertain to rabies (I’m remembering the doggie-quarantine now – bummer!) – does the host categorize stuff automatically, or did you do that? If it does it automatically, we’ll have to repeat a random word several times to make an obscure tally. :)

And, finally, my comment about the roving was not to disparage spinners (I realize that it may have come off that way). It was to indicate that I myself am not one and would not know how to do *anything* useful with it!! I’m sorry if I inadvertently offended any spinners out there!

Since I haven’t been knitting for that long, I haven’t used roving and am so busy learning other new things that I don’t have time to start spinning just yet. Thanks for offering the yarn in a draw! I hope to keep in touch :)
