Well, nobody got it quite right, but there were two guesses that were darn close. KitKatKnit guessed a cremesicle corn snake (which I’d never heard of…but she had the right type of critter!), and Cathy-cate said at her house it would be a snake. So I tossed a coin, well a Connect Four piece to be precise. The winner is Cathy-cate!. Cathy’s livejournal account must’ve been set up to comment on mine, there’s nothing in it! I give you Gibbs, a garter snake

Gibbs is just a temporary resident. DS thinks the snake is a he, I’m guessing a she. Last week DH kicked over a stump that the snake was using as a hibernaculum. Because it was still pretty early, and because it’s interesting to watch the snake, it came to live inside for a while. Sometimes you find these hibernacula, and there are a bunch of snakes…kind of primordial and creepy but interesting.

I have some interview questions to answer, I’ll do that tonight or tomorrow. Thanks everybody for your critter guesses. I’m supposed to be getting ready for work, so if you just posted and I haven’t gotten back to you…I’ll come over and say hi later.
